She . was born Feb. 14, 1906, in Pittsburgh, PA, the daughter of James and Mary Clark. Mrs. Crosbie worked for 25 years as a sales clerk at M. O'Neil Co. in Akron, until her ' retirement in 1970. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Crosbie, whom she married in 1928. Surviving are two sons, Thomas of McHenry and Joseph "Bill" W., Jr. of Clearwater, FL. Visitation was held Wednesday, at Eckard-Baldwin Funeral Home in Akron, where services were conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday. Interment was in Oakwood Cemetery, Cuyahoga Falls, OH. Arrangements were handled by Quernammer Funeral Home, Crystal Lake. f Anna L. Studin, 78, of McHenry, died Tuesday, Sept. 27, at her residence. She was born Nov. 24, 1904, in Pennsylvania, the daughter of Lucas and Carolyn (Fialkowski) Bugiel. A long time resident of McHenry, Mrs. Studin belonged to St. Patrick Catholic Church; and was a member oi the Royal Neighbors of America, McHenry Court; Catholic Daughters of America; and the Ladies Guild. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made for Masses jn her name. general News Two McHenry women serve theatre board Elaine Bottari, and Pamela Litka, of McHenry, have been elected to two-year terms on the Woodstock Musical Theatre Company's board of directors. Ms. Bottari has worked on over seven shows with the Theatre company, managing props, and crew. The daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Leonard Bottari, she claims not to have plans to go on stage with the local Community Theatre. She was associated with Townsquare Players 10 years ago, and decided after a melodramatic stint that she preferred the technical end of the theatre. Ms. Bottari is also president of the McHenry Association of Communicologists, and an advisor to the board of directors of Easter Seals. Pam Litka sings and dances, and has appeared with WMTC most recently as ADril in Company,^s a WMTC director. Litka will take over the Public Relations Committee from Barbara Marrs. Formerly a member of the Sweet Adelines of McHenry, Ms. Litka has also appeared with Performing Arts Community Theatre in Crystal Lake. Pam and Warren Litka live in McHenry with their son, Jason. Both directors will be working in their new capacities on the musical Cabaret,, which opens Oct. 7 at the Woodstock Opera House. Sandy Mencel of McHenry, is also in the cast. He was born June 12, 1908 in Chicago, to Benjamin and Anna (Weiss) Rappaport. On March 26,1981, in Chicago, • he married the former Hazel ; Heathcoat who survives. He was preceded in death by a sister, Bessi Baker; and a brother, Albert Rappaport. Visitation was from 3 to 9 p.m. Thursday, at the Querhammer Funeral Home, Crystal Lake, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, with the Rev. Arnold Schaper officiating. Interment will be in Crystal Lake Memorial Park. ; Memorials may be made in } his name to the charity of one's choice. Elinor C. "Ella" Knorst, 87, of Milwaukee, WI, died Monday, Sept. 26, in Milwaukee. She was born April 7,1896, in Jotmsburg, the daughter of Joseph and Barbara (Niesen) Huemann. A former resident ' of Johnsburg, St. Louis and Chicago, Mrs. Knorst resided in Milwaukee since 1954. She was a member of St. Mary Czestochowa parish in Milwaukee; and St. Monica's in Whitefish Bay. She was preceded in death by her husband Vincent C., May 9, 1956. He had been an employee of the Missouri-Pacific Railroad. Surviving are a daughter, Mary Ellen Hoitz of Milwaukee; three grandsons, Richard T.. -- --KNORST Timothy S. and Rex A., all of Milwaukee; one - great- grandson, Timothy S., Jr.; and four sisters, Margaret Smith of McHenry, Mrs. Bert (Theresa) Olson of Evanston, Eva Haglund of Island Lake and Mrs. Roy (Rosemary) Olsen of Tulsa, OK. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Joseph, Frederick, John and Elmer Huemann. Visitation was scheduled from 3 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Peter M. Justen & Son Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be offered at 11 a.m. Friday at St. John the a Baptist Catholic Church, Johnsburg, with burial in the " church cemetery.
