The future groom graduated from Marian Central Catholic High School in 1975 and the Florida Institute of Technology in 1980. The couple will be married Oct. 15, at the Village Church in Carol Stream. MR. AND MRS. ROBERT WEISS In commemoration of their fiftieth wedding anniversary, Mr. and Mrs. Robert J. Weiss (the former Antoinette Fosz) will be guests of honor Sunday, Oct. 2, at a dinner party with dancing for over 115 family members and friends at ECHT restaurant on Southport and Lincoln Avenue, Chicago. Sharing the limelight will be the couple's granddaughter Lynn Marie, whose birthday falls on the same day. Prior to the festivities, a Mass will be offered for their intention at 4 p.m., at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church. Out of Town guests will include Mrs. Weiss' sister Dorothy and her husband John Stanley, and son Bruce, from Los Angeles; and her cousins, Mr. ana Mrs. Frank Wapenick of Ionia, MI. They moved to Crystal Lake in 1970 and then became McHenry residents in 1976. They have two children, Carl and his wife Irene, and Arthur and his wife Audrey; five grandchildren, Mrs. Gary (Diane) Mlekush, Lynn Marie Weiss, and Theresa, Michele and Michael Weiss; and a great- granddaughter, Tracy Mlekush. Mr. Weiss worked in inventory control at a firm in Elk Grove Village, retiring in 1974. Mrs. Weiss was employed in the sales department of Montgomery Ward in Chicago and Crystal Lake, retiring in 1977. The couple recently attended a Mass celebrated bv Cardinal Bernardin at Holy Name Cathedral in Chicago for all those observing their fiftieth wedding anniversary and have beautiful memories of that occasion, also. At the last meeting of the McHenry Senior Citizens' Club, held at East Campus High School, there were 91 members present and three new members. It was announced that there will be no meeting Columbus Day, due to the school being closed. A tour of the "House On The Rocks" in Wisconsin has been scheduled for Oct. 13, and reservations must be made at once with Ruth Fradell, 385-6586. There will also be a tour to the Milwaukee Folke Fair Nov. 19. The annual Christmas Dinner is set for Thursday, Dec. 8, at the McHenry Country Club. A complete dinner will be served family style and reservations ape requested. The bowling group requested others to join them on Tuesdays or Fridays. They meet at 12:15 p.m. and the small cost includes coffee and a sweet roll. Ann Bailey is the chairman. A Drivers' Refresher Course will be given in November and all persons interested are to call Jim Jansen for details at 385- 7475. Walk-in center sets menu Meals are served Monday through Friday at the McHenry Walk-In Center beginning at 11.45 a.m. Reservations must be made by 1:30 p.m. the day before at 385-8260.
