Ed Dose, Sunday School superintendent, has planned a special day for everyone along with the teaching staff. Some classes will be offering prizes to those who bring a visitor. Following Sunday School at the 10:50 a.m. morning worship service, Pastor Merle D. Conklin will give a special prayer of dedication for Randy Anderson, who will begin his pastoral internship at his home church, the Wonder Lake Bible Church. Randy graduated from McHenry High School, Moody Bible Institute, Judson College and is presently attending Trinity Theological Seminary in Deerneld". Randy has grown up in this area and the church invites all those who have known Randy to join in worship on this special occasion. Randy and his wife, Shirley, will be glad to see his old friends and acquaintances. Randy is the son of Marv and L o T r a i n e A n d e r s o n , missionaries to the Carrier Indians in northern British Columbia, Canada, where his brother, Doug and wife, Sherrie, are also missionaries. Randy's sister, Laura, and husband Rick Leatherwood, will be returning to the Philippines with their baby son, to serve as missionaries there. * During his pastoral internship for one year. Randv will helping Pastor Conklin in a Wide variety of pastoral duties such as calling, preaching, and sitting in on committee meetings, etc. as he learns what it's like to be a working pastor. This is an experience that cannot be duplicated in any text book or classroom. Pastor Conklin's message (or the morning services is "Replacing Fear With Courage" (Hebrews 13:5-6). For the 6 p.m. Bible fellowship hour he will teach from Hebrews 11:18-29 "Under Grace". The ordinance of communion will be observed at this service. * The public is invited and welcome to all of the services and activities of the Wonder Lake Bible Church located at 7501 Howe Road, at the north end of Wonder Lake. Volunteers for the program are needed, whether it is for food, monetary help, paper products, as drivers or workers. Plans are being made to serve one free dinner a week, on Tuesday evenings, to needy individuals and families. Although the program is being carried out in St. Patrici Church, it is a non- denominational, community endeavor.
