McHenry County Chord Co., has appeared numerous times in this area including appearances at Hurricane Happenings at Marian Central High School, Town and County at McHenry, and most recently at the Woman's Club of Wonder Lake. Their show is infectiously happy and entertaining and promises to be fun for all. SEE SOX.GAME Twelve members of the Wonder Lake Boys Baseball organization were able to attend a white Sox game when the Sox were in the middle of clinching their chances at the playoffs. Hie super part was that tickets were free former owner of Mortimer's Snack Shop, won the tickets at a trade fair and turned them over to the boy's baseball team. Red Cross class for babysitters The Island Lake Area Lioness Club will EE^AmericanTRed $ross. It will be held Saturday, Nov. 5, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Waueeoda Fire Station No. 2, Route 176 in Island Lake. Tms course is offered to all persons 11 years and older. This seminar should be interesting, informative and a valuable aid to those planning to baby sit. It will cover a variety of subjects including household and child safety, ways to care for different age St, games and entertainment. Several speakers are also scheduled to share knowledge on these subjects. Lunch will be served, compliments of the lioness Club. At the end of the seminar, each participant will be given a Red Cross certificate and a handy packet of information that can be used as a reference in their future babysitting endeavors.
