Newly married Cudas plan delayed honeymoon The former Ann Larkin, 3711 W. Waukegan Rd., McHenry, exchanged promises of marriage Oct. 15, with Frank Cuda, 3404 W. Fairway Dr., McHenry. The bride is the daughter of Gerald and Joan Larkin, 4412 W. Ponca St., McHenry. Charles and Anna Mae Cuda, 3911 W. Clearbrook Ave., McHenry, are the parents of the bridegroom. The 3 p.m. solemnization was performed by the Reverend John Stringini in St. Patrick Catholic Church, McHenry. The church was decorated with greenery and chrysanthemum plants and mauve satin bows graced the ends of the pews. Ap propriate music for the oc casion was provided by soloist Carolyn Ritthaler and organist Jeanne Ludwig. The bride wore a floor- length, candlelight chiffon gown, accented with Chantilly lace and a high lace collar. The long, full sleeves were cuffed with lace ; a satin sash encircled the waist and a deep ruffled flounce edged the hemline of the skirt. Her floor length veil was of candlelight English net, adorned with Chantilly lace and a scattering of pearls. Her headpiece of fresh miniature ivory roses with baby's breath and greenery, echoed the treatment of her bouquet. . As an added sentimental touch, she wore for the first time, an add-a-pearl necklace (with matching earrings) that was started at her birth and completed by her godparents, Joni and Jim Althoff; and diamond earrings, a gift from the groom. The maid of honor was the bride's sister, Sally Larkin of McHenry. Bridesmaids were her other sisters, Janet Smith, Nancy Cook and Julie Larkin, all of McHenry; and her friend Sue Schaefer ol McHenry. They wore rosebud tinaesta tea length dresses, featuring a bodice of silk chiffon highlighted with diagonal tiers and short sleeves;, and the waistline was banded with a satin ribbon. Their headpieces were a single mauve chrysanthemum with baby's breath: and they carried a free form bouquet of assorted chrysanthemums in shades of pink and mauve, gar nished with baby's breath and ivy streamers. The best man was the groom's brother, Steve Cuda of McHenry. Groomsmen were friends of the groom, Jim Weakman, Bart Winn and Gene Hester, all of McHenry; and the bride's brother, Jerry Larkin of Rockford, IL. The mother of the bride chose a classic, heather grey crepe, street length dress, fashioned with a layered ruffle flounce at the hemline. Her accessories included pearls, and a heather grey purse and shoes. The groom's mother selected a light wedgewood blue tea length, sleeveless dress; styled with a fitted bodice, wide V-neck, cape effect of lace-trimmed, pleated chiffon, and skirt with three deep tiers of the same material. A 5:30 p.m. reception for 275 guests was held at Branded Steak House, Crystal Lake. Special guests were the groom's aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Cuda of Mt. Arlington, N.J. The newlyweds are making their home at 3404 W. Fairway Dr,, McHenry and they plan to take a Christmas honeymoon in December to Ochos Rios, Jamaica. The bride attended McHenry Community High School; received a B.A. degree from Alverno College, Milwaukee, WI; and is a third grade teacher at Valley View School, McHenry. The groom attended the same high school; received a B.S. degree from Michigan State; will receive an M.B.A. degree from Northwestern University in December; and is employed as a civil engineer for Lakeland Construction, McHenry. ff j \ .. » k The bride was honored at e three showers: one given by her godmother; another by the groom's aunts and cousins;* Dorothy Collins, Marcella Knox and Peg Montalbano; and the third by the bridesmaids.
