The bride is the former Kathryn Anna Descant, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph G. Descant, 2024 E. Texas Ave., Alexandria, LA. Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Grimmonpre of McHenry are the parents of the j bridegroom. Her veil fell from a Juliet cap of lace and to ' complete the look, she carried a bouquet of three orchids, pink sweetheart f roses, fern and baby's breath. ' The matron of honor was the bride's sister Janet Callaghan of Boston, MA. Another sister, Jolene Baker of Hammond, LA, was the bridesmaid; and the flower sirl was the bride's niece, Latifey Baker. Attendants were gowned in violet taffeta, tea length dresses fashioned with a double ruffle, off-the- shoulder neckline; fitted bodice; and full skirt cut -t the hemline with an Austrian drape. Tne best man was Hal Kitterman of McHenry. The groom's brother, Mark Grimmonpre of Ft. Walton Beach, FL, was the groomsman; and Hal Kit­ terman, Jr. was the ring bearer. Brothers of the bride, Joey and Rodney Descant, han­ dled the duties of ushers. The mother of the bride chose a blue chiffon, floor length formal with a pleated skirt. A periwinkle blue chiffon knit, floor length formal was the choice of the groom's mother. Approximately 65 friends and relatives attended a reception at the home of the bride's brother, Joseph G. Descant III in Alexandria. The bride graduated from Menard High School in Alexandria; holds an associate degree from Northeast Louisiana University, Monroe, LA; and is a flight attendant for Midway Airlines, Chicago. The groom graduated from McHenry Community High School; served in the U.S. Marine Corps for four years; and is presently an aircraft ST At? Fall Fun Fair & Spook House Immanuel Lutheran School is having its Fall Fun Fair and Spook House Saturday, Oct. 22, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the school, 174 McHenry Avenue, Crystal Lake. A special guest appearance by celebrity Billy Bob will delight adults and children alike. Lunch and snacks will be available, games will be offered, and prizes will be awarded. The fun begins at 8 p.m. and will last until 11 p.m., at the American Legion Hall on Ringwood Road. All proceeds from this event will be used to fund future Jaycee community development projects such as the "Hospital Santa", and "Calls from Santa" projects during the Christmas season; C.P.R. training programs; and assistance to the St. Patrick's Neigh­ borhood Kitchen. The main topic on the agenda was the annual Club Christmas Party which has been scheduled for Thur­ sday, Dec. 15. A $3.00 grab bag gift exchange was ap­ proved. The Woodstock Bible Church was the setting for the Oct. 15 nuptials, uniting in holy matrimony the for­ mer • Pamela Jean Wroblewski and Roy Ken­ neth Null. The bride is the daughter of Ted and Eleanor Wroblewski, 4803 N. Paulson, Pistakee Highlands. Ken Null of 1304 Camp Ave., Rockford, IL and the late Shirley Null are the parents of the bridegroom. The Reverend Llewellyn Walker officiated at the 3 p.m. ceremony and special musical selections offered by pianist Lynette Jorgenson, guitar soloist Mark Hopper and organist Margaret Lewellyn included "Wedding Song" and "With This Ring". The bride wore a gown of silk organza and silk Venice lace, fashioned with a high collar of embroidered Schiffli lace on a sheer yoke and fitted bodice, accented with Venice lace and pearl motifs. The sheer shepherdess sleeves adorned with lace motifs were finished with fitted cufs trimmed in lace. The full A-line skirt was lavishly scattered with motifs of lace, a lace hemline and full chapel train. Her waltz length mantilla, handmade in Brussels, was highlighted with a scalloped edge and embroidered flower appliques. It was secured to a tiny cap embellished with pearls. Attending the bride as maid of honor was her sister Pat Wroblewski of McHenry. Her other sisters, Paula,XJail and Mary Wroblewski, all of McHenry, were the bridesmaids. Attendants were attired in blue poly knit, spaghetti strap fitted owns styled with a odice and sunburst pleated skirt; complemented with a jacket of chiffon with a high collar of Chantilly lace; long Bishop sleeves with lace cuffs; and elastic waistline, self belted and enhanced with a lace peplum. Baby's breath adorned their hair. Handling the duties of best man was Leslie Fay of East Lansing, MI. Groomsmen were a friend of the groom Brian Ramsey of Wheeling, IL; the bride's brother Roger Null of Rockford; and the bride's cousin David Thoren of McHenry. The mother of the bride selected a mauve, sleeveless gown of poly knit, designed with a scoop neck and self belt on the A-line skirt. A Chanel style jacket with crystal pleating trim com­ pleted the ensemble. One hundred friends and relatives attended a reception at Crystal Woods Country Club. The guest book was circulated by Heidi Null ; and Janet Null attended the gift table. Upon returning from a wedding trip through the eastern states, including Pennsylvania and West Virginia, to enioy the beautiful Fall colors, the newly weds will reside at 2901 Elmside, Apt. 196, Houston, TX. The new Mrs. Null graduated from Johnsbur High School in 1980; attende Moody Bible Institute; and is an ornamental horticulturist. Her husband graduated from the University of Illinois, School of Engineering, in 1978 and is a civil engineer at Century Engineering in Houston.
