' It was most satisfying victory for the coaching staff and team. It has taken a lot of years for the Warriors to get the . monkey off their back in a homecoming game, but the Warriors finally put it all On the. Sideline' Dick Rabbitt together. "• I found new faith in the student body at McHenry High School. The sight of those hundreds of students and other fans racing on the field at the final gun, surrounding the team and coaches was just a wonderful sight to behold. Maybe football fever has finally arrived at McHenry. Seems the Chicago Heights paper eked Marian Catholic by 20 points over Blue Streaks. To my friend in Chicago Heights - I reminded him we " y a pretty good brand of football in Fox Valleyi ') This week I'm picking Ridgewood, ranked in 3-A, over the Warriors. I think the city boys are a little too rough for the country boys from McHenry. In a home grown battle, Dundee- Crown to beat Jacobs. The Chargers have lost two in a row, and will be ready *to go. Central to easily defeat Cary- ilthougl two good backs that could cause some Grove, al (h the Trojans have those problems for the Tigers. Woodstock to beat Crystal Lake South in a real thriller. I'm not going to miss this (me. Woodstock has to win its remaining three conference games to win the otto. 1 Johnsburg to defeat Wauconda. The Skyhawks will have to rely on Marian to be upset this season. And Marian to defeat Grant, but this could be a good ball game. The Bulldogs can arise to the occassion. And to answer some questions, there are 116 schools outside of the city of Chicago who have a larger enrollment than McHenry which is 1,587 students. ; j.
