This was finally achieved when the first patrons at the new location, Prudence Huffman and Hedie Foss, arrived at 813 W. Route 120 after 2 p.m. Oct. 18. Friday, Oct. 14 found Michael Douglass, Eagle Scout aspirant, reporting to librarian Margaret Karas at the McHenry Nunda Library on Lily Lake Rd.and Columbus Dr.to begin the physical activity involved in moving some 6,000 books and equipment approximately two thirds of a mile north to the new library building on Route 120. By the time all the boxes providied by board president Frank Colomer were filled with onlv a small portion of theJoooksto be moved, Michael realized the work and time that was going to be needed to accomplish the task which would end with all the books on the new shelving in their new home.
