CONTEST WINNERS The Beach Gals' annual Halloween party took place Monday evening, Oct. 31, as it has in past years. Congratulations to all the winners and all par­ ticipants. Tne biggest treat of the evening was the spook house. It was tastefully and scarily done by Delores Piotrowski and Dee Valentine and their crew of spooks. The screams could be heard all the way up Beach i View. And, of course, coffee and cider were on hand for all who attended the party. BEACH QALS Seven members and one guest, Jean Vycital, attended the Nov. 2 meeting that was held at Linda Bacon's home. The upcoming Christmas Bazaar, to be held Saturday, Nov. 12, was discussed. The set up for this event will be Friday, Nov. 11, at 10 a.m. The girls are urged to sell their tickets, and each member is reminded to bake two or three items and drop them off at the beach house by 8 a.m. on the morning of Nov. 12. The members' Christmas party will be held at a local restaurant Dec. 7, in lieu of the meeting. Cocktails will be at 6:30 p.m.. and dinner at 7. There will be a $3 ornament exchange and members must pay up their dues before attending this event. The village children's Christmas party will be Sunday, Dec. 11, from 1 to 3 p.m, at the beach house. The set up will take place Dec. 10 from 10 a.m. through noon. All members are asked to bake three dozen cookies. Varieties of cheese and crackers, snacks and dips, apple coffee cake and hot chocolate were prepared and served by BIRTHDAYS Nov. 12, Christmas Bazaar and Bake Sale, Beach House, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Please support this event. Music teachers from the entire state of Illinois will be convening for professional enrichment and advancement.
