Malak, both of Rochester, NY, are the parents of the bridegroom. The 2:30 p.m. nuptial rjte was performed Saturday, Dec. 10, by a friend of the groom, Father Paul Grenon of Rhode Island, in The Church of St. Mary of the Assumption^ McHenry. White pew bows marked the aisle; and to further enhance the setting, appropriate musical selections were offered by a friend of the couple, soloist Doug Gruber of Milwaukee. He was ac companied on the organ by Celeste Mann. The bride wore a white gown of chiffon over satin, fashioned with a high lace neckline, and a shirred bodice. The skirt flowed into a full train and was ac cented at the waist with a cummerbund, adorned with a chiffon rose. Her veil fell from a halo headpiece and she carried a bouquet bearing a crystal rosary which was a special gift from her grandmother Charlotte Tonyan. Attending her sister as matron of honor was Ann Richardson of Elgin, IL. Bridesmaids were the bride's sister-in-law, Caren Zimmerman of Milwaukee; friends, Connie Patton of South Bend, IN and Cathy Pintozzi of Milwaukee; and another friend and roommate, Mary Kasting of Milwaukee. Attendants were gowned for the occasion in tea-length dresses of woodrose chiffon, featuring a lace neckline and three-quarter length sleeves. A chiffon cummerbund," highlighted by a chiffon rose, encircled their waists. The flower girl was the bride's niece and Godchild, Sarah Richardson. She wore a white chiffon dress, girded at the waist with a woodrose cummerbund. Handling the duties of best man was a friend, James Wanek of Denver, CO. Groomsmen were friends, Gary Aldridge and Dave Quist, both of Rochester; the groom's cousin Mike Pavone, also of Rochester; and the bride's brother Thomas Zimmerman .of Milwaukee. All were in black tuxedos. The ring bearer was the groom's nephew and Godchild, Robby Vitaro of Rochester. The mother of the bride chose a pale lavender street length dress. A beige street length dress, complemented by a jacket, was the choice of the groom's mother•_ An unusual site in front of the church was not a horse-drawn carriage; or old, classic automobiles; or large, sleek limousines; which sometimes add a special touch to weddings, but instead, a regular size commercial bus, parked and waiting to once again transport the busload of people it had carried from Rochester, N.Y. to share in the festivities. The group had arrive^ Friday night, attended all the functions by bus, and then left Sunday for the return trip, after enjoying a relaxing weekend. Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Maravela's for 200 friends and relatives. An honored guest on this memorable day was the bride's 96-year-old grandfather, Phil Thennes. The new Mrs. Malak, a graduate of Marian Central High School; received a B.S. in Accounting in 1982 from Marquette University; and was employed in Milwaukee as an accountant. Her husband graduated from Marquette University in 1983, with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and a minor in Business Ad ministration; and is a Mechanical Engineer with Sargent and Lundy, Chicago.
