The Lady Skyhawks were leading 8-7 after one quarter and 18-15 at the half, but lost the lead in the third quarter. The Skyhawks were out-scored 10-3 in that quarter. "They (Marengo) pressed the whole game and I'm pleased the way we handled it," said Johnsburg coach Nancy Fahey. "There was a stretch in the third quarter where we made a few mistakes that turned into tur novers. The key of the game was right in that stretch. "I'm never happy with a loss, but we handled the press real well." Johnsburg also had trouble shooting. The Skyhawk only shot 23 percent from the field and made only two of 11 free throw attempts. Vicki DeBeau led Johnsburg scoring with seven points, while Theresa Hauck and Chris May scored six each. The loss leaves Johnsburg with a 2-1 record, 0-1 in the Northwest Suburban Conference.
