After losing to St. Edward 36- 21. Johnsburg managed to tie Jacobs 29-29. The loss and tie leaves Johnsburg with a 5-4-1 overall record. . Mark Dumelle was the most successful Skyhawk wrestler, pinning both of his opponents at 155-pounds. He Dinned Jeff Schodin bf St. Edward at 4:16, and pinned Steve Kosar of Jacobs in 2:52. Johnsburg only recorded two other wins against St. Edward. Heavyweight John,Grenman won on a fall against Jim Johnston in 1 :"20, while Ed Klien picked up a forfeit at 98-pounds. Johflsburg did Better against the Golden Eagles, as two other Skyhawk wrestlers .recorded falls. Scott Lehman at 112- pounds pinned Bob Nottoli in 3:05, while Jim Walker pinned Mike Clint in 1:23. Ed Klein picked up his second win of the night with a 6-3 win over John Bondi. Shawn Kee at 119-pounds, and Jim O'Brien also picked up wins{against tf&cpbs. Kee defeated Joe Kreten 8-7, while O'Brien defeated Brian Butler 21-5. The Johnsburg junior varsity also split the double dual. The Skyhawk JV squad defeated St. Edward 33-12, but lost to Jacobs 38-23. He can learn as much from basketball as any classroom. "I'm going to be 51, but the kids have kept me very young. Coaching takes a lot of hard work. I watch kids come along, and I get a lot of satisfaction from that." All three of his sons played under him at McHenry, and all three were present when he won his 300th game. "That relationship is one I won't forget." Ludwig is thankful he has lasted in coaching as long has he has. But he is also thankful for McHenry - the fans, the players, his family etc. "I'm family orientated. To me, that's more important than making a big deal out of a coaching record." Ice fishing derby set The McCullom Lake 10th Annual Ice Fishing Derby will be held Jan. 21-22 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Derby is an event to raise money for lake management projects by the McCullom Lake Con­ servation Club such as dredging, weed cutting and stocking of the lake. Bait, fishing license, food and refreshments will be available at the derby headquarters, t^e Mc­ Cullom Lake Beach house. McCullom Lake Beach House is located one mile west of route 31 on Mc­ Cullom Lake Road, just north of McHenry. There will be signs. For more information, contact Harvey May at 385-7445.
