S£qT10N2^AGEl2 - PLA1NDEALER - FRIDAY. MARCH »* lm general Knowing Medication Millions of older Americans take prescription medicine on a regular basis and a surprising number of them must look at the label or call their doctor when Senior ltizens orner someone asks them what they are taking. What some may know about drugs they are taking can be nothing more than it is for a back ache or that it relieves leg pains. In most instances, patients were carefully told by their physcians the generic and brand name of prescribed medicine. They just didn't pay attention. If the prescription was renewable, they had nothing to worry about. When the supply ran out, a call to the pharmacist would secure a refill. Patients who receive prescriptions owe it to their health to make notes on each prescription, possible side ef fects and possible interactions with other drugs they may be taking or might take in the future. Most physicians provide this information. If they don't, ask and write it down. Knowing the medication that you are taking-and the medication that you should not take can be highly important if you are involved in an accident or lose your supply of medication. Hospitality keynote of McHenry Trade Fair Hospitality is the keynote of McHenry's Annual Trade Fair. Every effort is made to provide for optimum comfort of both the exhibitors and the guests. Upon arrival, guests will be greeted by Miss McHenry or a member of her court. After being presented with a free carry-all for all the Trade Fair complimentary treasures, they will be directed to the coat check area. Coat check chairman, Vince Rotello, will provide a full staff of assistants there who will also cash in prize-winning numbers for the Winner's Circle. This year there will be more prizes than ever. The 20,000 flyers the Chamber is cir culating contain 200 winning numbers. These numbers will appear on the "Winner's Circle" in the Parkland foyer and can be redeemed at the coat check room. Additionally, exhibitors will be conducting prize drawings all during the Trade Fair. These winners will be announced over the P.A. system, but winners will be notified by mail or phone if they do not claim their prizes during Trade Fair. Guests will be guided through the one-way pattern of traffic which will assure that they see every exhibit along the way.
