DEATHS PAGE 7- PLAINDEALER- WEDNESDAY. MARCH 14, 1984 James F. Lobas, 75, of McHenry, died Sunday, March 11, at Royal Terrace, McHenry. He was born June 23, 1908, in Poland, the son of Albert and Rose (Mnisak) Lobas. Mr.'/ Lobas lived in the McHenry area 22 years, having come from Chicago. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife Helen Walter E. Krause, 82, of Crystal Lake, died Wednesday, March 7 in McHenry Hospital, He was born April 18,.1902, in Huntley, IL, the son of Charles F. and Lena H. (Braemer) Krause. Mr. Krause was an employee of the Austin Selz Farm in Crystal Lake for several years; was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Crystal Lake, where he worked as a custodian many years. On Sept. 6, 1924, in Crystal Lake, he married the former Mary C. Tessendorf, who sur­ vives. Other survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Rudy (Eleanor) i lobas B., nee Okoniewski, April 4, 1973. - Surviving are one son Ronald, a daughter Dorothy, one brother and one sister-in-law Helen M. Okoniewski of Crystal Lake. No visitation was scheduled. Services will be held at 9:30 Wednesday at Peter M. Justen & Son Funeral Home, with in­ terment in St. Patrick's Countryside Cemetery. ------ KRAUSE Ficken of McHenry; a son Tyrus of Los Angeles, CA; three grandchildren; and one great- granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, four sisters and two grandsons. Visitation was held at the Querhammer Funeral Home, Crystal Lake, from 4 to 9 pm. Friday. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Immanuel church, with the Rev. Everett Bergen officiating, and interment in McHenry County Memorial Park, Woodstock. Memorials may be made in his name to the church or Pioneer Center. The Rev. Fr. C. Alfred Dietsch died Thursday, March 8. He was born in Aurora, IL Feb. 18,1904, to Joseph and Mary Dietsch. Father Dietsch attended Our Lady of Good Council Grade School, Aurora; East Aurora High School; and Campion College, Prairie du Chien, WI. Later, he attended St. Mary's of the Woods Seminary in Cin­ cinnati, OH; St. Mary's Seminary in Baltimore, MD; and North American Seminary in Rome, Italy. He was ordained June 14,1930, by the Most Rev. Edward Hoban, D.D.; served as assistant pastor at St. Joseph church in Freeport, IL, St. John's church in Savanna, IL and St. Nicholas church in Aurora. ---- DIETSCH As a pastor, he served at St. Mary's church in Polo, IL six years; at Holy Cross in Stockton, IL 13 years; and Sts. Peter and Paul churh in Cary, IL 17 years. He retired in October of 1975 and lived in McHenry until the time of his death. Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Josephine Backes of Aurora, one niece and one nephew. A Funeral Mass was offered at 11 a.m. Saturday at Sts. Peter and Paul church, with Fr. An­ drew Plesa principal con- celebrant. Interment was in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Aurora. Visitation was in Sts. Peter and Paul church from 3:30 to 9 p.m. Friday and local arrangements were handled by the Daleiden Mortuary, Aurora. Lance M. Parks, 69, of Custer, Mont., formerly of McHenry, died Thursday, March 8, while vacationing in Palm Harbor, Fla. ** He was born Dec. 9, 1914, in Indiana, the son of Melvin and Edith Parks. He resided in McHenry from 1948 to 1974, and he was a former member of the Moose Lodge, McHenry. He was a retired self- employed painter and decorator, and he also worked for a short time for International Decorators, McHenry. He is survived by his wife, Flora, whom he married in PARKS Maywood in 1940; three daughters, Mrs. Jerry (Gail) Luciano Jr., Wonder Lake, Andrea Parks, Palm Harbor, and Mrs. Jack (Alana) Morley, Lombard; four sons, Lance K., Billings, Mont., Edward L., Palm Harbor, Ronald A., Wauconda, and Gary M., Morton Grove; two brothers, Roy and Harvey, both in California; a sister, Ruth Kehring, Denver, Colo.; and 16 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Velma, and a brother, Chester. The family is planning a memorial service. Elsie B. Eckstein of Lake Zurich, died Thursday, March 8, at McHenry Hospital. She was born Dec. 27, 1914, in Germany, the daughter of Joseph and Paula (Holland) Hammel. Surviving are two sons, Frank of McHenry and Robert of Round Lake; and five grand- ECKSTEIN children. She was preceded in death by her husband William in 1969. Arrangements were made by the George R. Justen & Son Funeral Home. All services were private, and the family requests any donations be made to the American Heart Fund. Robert M. Killam of Ring wood died Wednesday, March 7, in St. Joseph's Hospital, Elgin, IL. He was 54 years old, born Sept. 12, 1929, in Pittsfield, ME, the son of Fred and Anne (Morrison) Killam. Mr. Killam came to the Ringwood community from Maine 22 years ago. He was an employee of Morton Chemical Co., Ringwood. Survivors are five children, Robert M. Killam II of Crystal Lake, Patricia Torgerson of Minnesota, Pamela Freund of Schaumburg, IL, Toni L. Jones KILLAM of Island Lake, and Chet Griffith of Ringwood; four brothers, Edward, Lawrence and Eugene of Hartlend, ME, and Fred of Wonder-Lake; two sisters, Sandra Matthews of Massachusetts and Pearl Colford of Maine. The body rested at the Peter M. Justen & Son chapel Sunday. Graveside rites were conducted in the Ringwood Cemetery Monday. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Kenneth H. Decker, 51, 9608 Bull Valley Rd., Woodstock, died Friday, March 9, at Lutheran General Hospital, Park Ridge, IL. He was born in Kenosha, WI Aug. 19, 1932, the son of Harold and Gertrude (Marx) Decker. A resident of Woodstock for 26 years, and well-known in the McHenry area, Mr. Decker was a graduate of the University of Wisconsin in 1954 and received his Masters degree in 1958. He had been an analytical chemist manager of research services for Morton Chemical Co.; and a member and past president of the Society of Plant Engineeers. He served in the U.S. Army from 1954 to 1956; served as president of the McHenry County Easter Seals in 1972 and DECKER 1973; and was formerly on the board of Memorial Hospital for McHenry County, Woodstock. On June 8,1957, in Milwaukee, WI, he married the former Joyce Raymond, who survives. Other survivors are three sons, Dirk of Fort Collins, CO, Derek of St. Louis, MO and Devin at home; and his parents of Kenosha. A private Memorial Mass will be celebrated Saturday, March 17, at - Resurrection Catholic Church. The family will receive friends at their home Saturday at 7:30 p.m. Arrangements were made by Schneider-Leucht- Merwin & Cooney, Woodstock.
