A minimal charge will be made for adults, with a lesser price for children under 12. All those under five years old will be admitted free. The "all you can eat" menu includes spaghetti, salad bar, Italian garlic bread, spumoni ice cream and beverage. Those who plan to attend are asked to try to purchase tickets from a local Rotarian. ELMER ADAMS Elmer and Elberta Adams of McHenry will celebrate their fiftieth wedding anniversary Saturday, March 31. They were married in Chicago March 31, 1934, the same day as Mr. Adams' thirty-first birthday. He has often said that his wife was the best birthday present he ever got. Mrs. Adams, the former Elberta Bishop, was born in Leavenworth, KS and grew up in Texas, Minnesota and Illinois. Her husband was born and raised in Chicago. Hie couple resided on the far northwest side of Chicago until ten and a half years ago when they moved to Whispering Oaks. birth-- WALDRON John and Cathy WWnMMW, W. Elm St,-McHenry, became parents of their second son March 8, 1984, and named him Micheal Joseph. The 6 lbs. 2 oz. baby boy entered the world at McHenry Hospital. He was Mr. Adams, who was a pur­ chasing agent before retiring in 1971, enjoys his grandchildren, reading, TV news and watching his beloved Chicago Cubs. Mrs. Adams also enjoys her grand­ children, reading and playing bridge with friends in Whispering Oaks. The Adamses have two daughters. Lois lives in Pistakee with her 12-year-old daughter Laura Sturges. Karen resides in Winding Creek with her husband Bill, and son Anthony Adams Karmis, five months old. A family party to honor the couple will be held in their home on the 31st. welcomed home by his brother John, age 17 months. (riaindeaier pnoto Dy wayne vjayiora; CATHERINE WEBER On Sunday, April 1, in com- member and past president of memoration of her eightieth birthday, Catherine Weber will be the guest of honor at a celebration hosted by her children, Dick and Mabel Weber, and Shirley and Tom Sutton; and her grandchildren. The festivities will begin with a Mass celebrated at noon by the Reverend James Gaynor in the Church of St. Mary of the Assumption, McHenry. Following the ceremony, a dinner will be served at 1:30 p.m. in St. Patrick's Church Hall, for invited guests and relatives. Mrs. Weber is a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters; the American Legion Auxiliary; and volunteered her services on the Cancer Drive for several years, five of those as chairman of the residential district. She also was employed many years at the A & P store, formerly located on Green Street, and considered it to be like her second home. In 1979, Mrs. Weber suffered a broken hip and was confined to a wheelchair. She progressed to a walker and then a cane, which she still uses. Her favorite pastime is playing church music on the organ and she also enjoys reading the Bible. Attend baptism of Ritthaler infant APRIL 5 MH. She has been involved with Women's Aglow for several years, currently serving as vice- president of Outreach and Ministries on the area board, and is a charter member of the Elgin Women's Aglow Chapter. Mrs. Broyles attests that in 1973 she was healed instantly of hepatitis and a deteriorated liver upon receiving the baptism of, the Holy Spirit. She also claims to have witnessed many of God's miracles since that time and knows the reality of the abundant life promised by Him in His Word, the Bible.
