Althougi the nationwide system was established but 20 years ago, this system provided services last year to an estimated 4.5 million Americans who other wise might not have access to mental health care. There are, however, still far too many people who are not receiving the care they need. The Council for Understanding Mental Health Illnesses estimates that some 19 million Americans with mental related problems do not seek any kind of comsehng, treat ment or other mental health services. Contracts have been let by the Iffinnis Department of Tran sportation (IDOT), and work is starting on Minis 47 north of Woodstock, on niinm« 31 north and south of McHenry, on Route 47 through both intersections with Illinois 17$ south of Woodstock, and on Lake-Cook Road in Harrington Hills. The Curran Contracting Company, Crystal Lake, was a $433*503 contract for and the Harrington Hills Merrill Johnson, engineer for Curran Contracting, said the Lake-Cook Road patching has when that is the Route 31 pat- begin.
