:\ School schedules * jazz conceit The McHenry East Campus Music Department will present a pops concert for the general public at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, MajrlS at the McHenry East Campus theater. Offer spring wildflower walks McHenry County Con­ servation District volunteers are scheduled to lead a number of public programs at district sites in * May designed to promote awareness of the spring wildflowers. Each program features a different site with a different array of wildflower species. All of the programs are free and open to the public without pre-registration. The Hollows, between Crystal Lake and Cary, will be the site of a May 12 walk scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. Yvonne Henze will lead participants on a walk which will feature plants of forest and open areas. Somewhat different species of forest and field should be in bloom for the May 13 walk at Rush Creek, near Harvard. The leader of the 1 p.m. walk will be Chris Rechten. On Saturday, May 19, an in­ terpretive walk along a railroad prairie remnant will begin at 3 p.m. Parking for the Nippersink Trail is provided where Harts ROad crosses the old railroad bed. Prairie wildflowers will again be highlighted at the Saturday, May 26 program at Queen Anne Prairie - Eckert Cemetery, beginning at 1 p.m. Alice and Leta Clark will lead participants on the short (about v« mile) walk around the perimeter of the cemetery.
