I'll Uli Dundee farmers market open July 14 to Sept. 22 The Dundee Business and Profes- ional Association will sponsor the fifth tnnuai Dundee Farmers Market. The market will be held on Saturdays rom 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on River Street in downtown East Dundee from July 14 through Sept. 22. Area farmers will feature fresh, local­ ly grown produce. In addition to a vast array of garden vegetables, there will also be mushrooms, berries and fresh flowers on sale. v litis year every market shopper will have the chance to win a free bag of fresh fruits and vegetables. All of the farmers will be contributing to this bag of groceries. Each Saturday, at the close of the market, a drawing will be held to determine the weekly winner. Local civic and service organizations will be sponsoring weekly bake sales to coincide with the Farmers Market. Old Bloomingdale offers shopping The Village of Bloomingdale, the third oldest village in DuPage County, has established a unique shopping center in the "Old Town" area of this western Chicagoland suburb. Old Town Bloomingdale, a specialty shopping center has grown from three, in­ dividually owned businesses housed in a few of Bloom ingdale's oldest buildings to over 30 sole proprietorships in redeveloped and recreated turn-of-the-century buildings located at Lake Street and Bloomingdale Road. Featured store merchandise includes antiques, crafts, home baked foods, collec­ tibles, clothing and unique home fur­ nishings. The Old Town shopping area, in addition to specialty shops and food stores, also in­ cludes a museum.
