Paternal grand- Post supports freedom cause liberty Post 188 of the Polish Legion of American veterans, McHenry, recently held a polka ~ dance in honor of Poland's May 3, 1791 Free Constitution. The dance was part of the larger celebration which had started with a massive parade in downtown Chicago May 5, with Liberty Post 188 once again having a large marching group participate. That same evening, at the Polish Legion's "liberty Hall,". 1304 Parte St., the hall was filled to capacity. For thin special occasion, the post contracted a well-known TV and radio artist Women form steering comm. A steering committee has been formed to organize a McHenry County Democratic Women's Club. This group has met one time to establish bylaws for the organization. A second meeting has been planned for Tuesday, May 29, in Woodstock. Bible Church Wonder Lake Bible Church was the setting for the May 12 exchange of wedding vows between the former Cheryl Wright and Ronald K. Meyer, both of Wonder Lake. The Reverend Merle Conklin presided over the 3 p.m. nuptials and appropriate musical selections were performed by vocalists, Valerie Foy and Mark Honeycutt. The mother of the bride chose a floor length, light blue crepe dress, fashioned with an ac cordion pleated skirt. A floor length salmon polyester dress, also styled with an accordion pleated skirt, was the choice of the groom's mother. Immediately following the ceremony, cake was served at the church to 225 guests. Later, a dinner reception was held for 125 guests. The bride, a 1983 graduate of McHenry West Campus; at tended McHenry County College; and is presently em ployed by Miller's Dream Marine.
