At this time it is estimated that the parade will take over an hour and will begin at Christ the King Church at 2 p.m. Two pig roasts are scheduled. One is Saturday at Adam & Theresia's at 4 p.m. The other, according to American Legion Commander Tom Bennett, will be held at the Legion Home Sunday, right after the parade. Festivities are to begin at 11 a.m. both Saturday, Aug 11, and Sunday, Aug. 12, although the Harrison-Benwell Conservation area will be open at 9 a.m. with a possibility that there will be pony rides there. Chairman for the steering committee, Lorraine Murphy, says negotiations are still underway about the ponies. However there will be three rides available for small children and there are to be doll buggy, tricycle, and bike parades at the two firehouses, with prizes to be awarded.
