In­ cluded in their studies were seamanship, close order drill, Naval history and first aid. Personnel who complete this course of instruction are eligible for three hours of college credit in Physical Education and hygiene. JOSEPH CALARCO Navy Seaman Joseph J. Calarco, son of Ronald and Anna M. Grabowski of 3010 Stillhill Drive, McHenry, has completed recruit training at the Navy Recruit Training Command San Diego. Thursdays of the month at Gait Airport, Wonder Lake, has named a new commander succeeding Captain Walter Bender, commander since the inception of the squadron three years ago. The new commander is 1st Lt. Michael Szarfiniski, former deputy commander for the senior program of the unit, licensed amatuer radio operator, communications expert and a graduate of CAP's Squadron Leadership School.
