J CAMPING AX SECTION 2 - PAGE 1 - PLAINPEALER - WEDNESDAY, JULY M, 1H4 Schools Registration dates set for Johnsburg schools at Johnsburg School District 12 will hold its general registration from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wed­ nesday, Aug. 8, and from noon to 28 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 9. E l e m e n t a r y S c h o o l jtegistration will be held at the ^Middle School and the high ^fcchool registration will be at "Johnsburg High School, ^Hingwood Road. Registration is necessary to confirm the enrollment of -students in the school. Material fees can be paid an important, school-related information will be distributed. Birth certificates must be presented by all kindergarten and other enrollees new to District 12. Medical physicals, and certain immunizations are required by state law for all students entering kindergarten, fifth and ninth grade classes. This should be completed before registration. Elementary students need not accompany their parents at elementary registration. Parents need not accompany high school students at their registration, but all are welcome to do so. Yearbook pictures for fresh­ man, sophomore and junior students will be taken at registration. Late registration is possible for those unbable to attend the Aug. 8 and 9 general registration. For high school students, late registration will be from 7 a.m. to S p.mm. on any weekday after general registration. Elementary late registration will be held Aug. 14, 16, 21 and 23 from 8 a.m. to S p.m. at the district ad­ ministration office. Monday, Aug. 27 will be a shortened first day of at­ tendance for all Johnsburg students. Tuesday, Aug. 28, will be the first full day of classes. Montini board seats new members Health oourses 1 At its July meeting, the Montini Catholic Schools board of education seated four new jnembers: Jane Marski and George Papiech, of St. Mary's Parish; and Leonard Martinez and Don Reinboldt, of St. Patrick's Parish. Reinboldt was elected president of th board for the 31984-85 term; Carol Freund was chosen vice-president; and Judy Swietlik was elected secretary. In other business, the board Accepted the 1984 gant from the McHenry County Board of Catholic Education Foundation in the amount of $14,210.16 from Celeste Mann, representing the board; accepted a check from the Montini Parents Association in the amount of $3,000; ap­ proved a computer education policy and a policy in­ corporating a job description of the positions of superintendent and Primary Center principal in the board policy handbook; and set Aug. 21 as registration day for the 1984-85 school year. The board also learned from the administration that tuition contracts for the 1984-85 year were mailed to all registered families the week of July 16-20 and that new curtains for the Middle School gym had been ordered. Father Gaynor informed the board that the Middle School gym floor would be sanded, sealed and finished this summer Montini's registration day will be Aug. 21 from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.; 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.; and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Middle School gym. Parent handbooks will be available for all families on that day as well as bus passes. School supply lists will be posted in local stores on or about Aug. 1. Classes will begin Aug. 27. v Graduate-level courses in public health, environmental and occupational health sciences, community health sciences, health resources management and epidemiology- biometry will be offered this fall by the School of Public Health of the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). Classes begin Monday, Sept. 17; registration deadline is Friday, Aug. 17. Course descriptions and information about application procedures are available from M.
