According to IDOT, none of the roads in the four projects will be closed to traffic. However, a one-lane condition with traffic signals will be in­ stalled for the bridge repair work on Route 23 over Coon Creek. "On all the'projects, motorists are cautioned to be alert to barricades, warning signs, lights and contractor's equip­ ment," Ed Nash of IDOT said today. Nash also announced that a public meeting will be held on the proposed improvement of U.S. Route 12 (Rand Road) in northeastern McHenry County. v The proposed project includes the rehabilitation and resur­ facing of Rand Road from Route 31 south of Richmond to State Park Road at the McHenry- Lake county line. The meeting is set for 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 25, in the Multi-Purpose Room of Spring Grove Elementary School, 2018 Main St., Spring Grove. The proposal includes Rand Road intersection im­ provements as needed, pavement widening and in­ stallation of curb and gutter from Fox Lake Road to State Park Road. According to IDOT, a limited amount of additional right-of- way would be required at several locations throughout the project in order to complete the job. Hiere will be an opportunity for the public to make com­ ments and ask questions at the Wednesday night meeting, and handicapped persons planning to attend and needing special assistance can contact George Catalano of the Illinois Department of Transportation at 1000 Plaza Drive, Schaum- burg, at (312)-884-4087. The doctor-approved exercise program will begin on Tuesday, July 31. It will be held on the Parkland Junior High School Stage from 1:45 to 2:45 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
