The couple was united in marriage July 25, I960 in the Little Country Church of Hollywood in California. Both are employed by Johnsburg Community Unit School District 12; Mr. Pieper as a physical education teacher and his wife as a secretary in Pupil Personnel Services. Debra, their oldest daugher is married and resides in Reed- sburg, Wis. Their son Tom will be a student at Illinois State University this fall, and Kim- berly will be a student at University of niinois at Champaign-Urbana. Prior to moving to McHenry 13 years ago, the family resided in Burbank, Calif. In observance of the occasion, their children Roger and Debra (Pieper) Engel, and Tom and Kimberly Pieper will host an open house for their parents on Saturday, July 28. friends are invited to stop in after 2 p.m. Surprise party thrown for MR. Tucci of Chicago. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George M. Freund, 3713 W. Lee St., McHenry. Mr. and Mrs. Frank S. Tucci of Setauket, N.Y. are the parents of the bridegroom. Pastor Roger Schneider performed the 5:30 p.m. ceremony June 23, before an altar flanked by pots of car nations and a variety of other flowers. Special music for this memorable occasion included "The Wedding March," "A Time For Us," "Evergreen-" "Looking Through tlfe Eyes of Love," and "Jesu...Joy of Man's Desirings." The bride wore a gown of ivory chiffonella fashioned with a high, ruffled neck and long sleeves, ruffled at the shoulders and cuffs. Seed pearls and lace further enhanced the bodice and cuffs. It was fastened at the back by a row of tiny buttons, and lace appliques adorned the cathedral train. A blusher was secured to her wide brim hat, which was embellished with seed pearls and lace, and a waist length veil. Jeanne Vieser of Mt. Prospect, HI. was the matron of honor. Bridesmaids were sisters of the bride, Linda Pomierski of Libertyville, 111. and Patti Hutchinson of Lincoln Nebr., friends of the bride, Melissa McDougall of McHenry and Diane Bursik of Chicago, and the groom's niece Beth Davidson of Watermill, N.Y. - They wore lavender, floor length gowns, styled with spaghetti straps and a gathered waist. The ensemble was complemented by a short, puffed sleeve jacket, accented with a high ruffled collar. The best man was a cousin of the groom, Roger Maler of Mt. Arlington, N.J. Groomsmen were the bride's brother Robert Freund of Wonder Lake, a nephew of the groom, Alfred Davidson of Yaphank, N.Y., and friends, Joseph Vanacora of Virginia Beach, Va., William Furay of Chicago and Michael Demarte of Palos Hills, HI. The mother of the bride chose a dusty rose, pinch pleated, floor length gown with a boat neckline and long sleeves. Guest speaker will be De McGhee from Florissant, Mo., founding president of the Women's Aglow Chapter in Cairo, Egypt, where she and her family lived for three and one-half years. A former night club singer, De attests that her world changed from one of darkness and despair to one of light and hope when she committed her life to Jesus Christ. She is currently involved in "New Song Ministries," a ministry dedicated to releasing the annointing of worship and praise within the Body of Christ, and teaches by precept from the Word of God and by practice.
