"The Greatest Show on Wheels" will feature Joie Chitwood Jr. and his brother Tim. The Chitwoods' thrill show began on the dirt tracks of America in 1932 with another young man with a vision of racing greatness. This time the dream came true. Joie Chitwood Sr. won three AAA racing championships in 1939, 1940 and 1941, and finished in the money nine out of 10 times at the Indianapolis 500 before turning his attention to the automobile thrill show. At one time Joie Chitwood Sr. had s many as five units on the road in he same season. In 1965, after establishing himself as "A Living Legend,"'the operation was turned over to his two sons, Joie and Tim Chitwood. Their years of training and experience show through during the performances. "The Greatest Show on Wheels" will be the Thursday night grandstand entertainment at the fairgrounds The show promises to be well balanced family entertainment featuring precision driving, crashing events and high-speed action. The emphasis of the Chitwood shows has always been on profes­ sionalism and showmanship. Since the first show in Williams Grove, Pa., in the early 1940s, quality perfor­ mance has been the creed.
