Dame Judith Anderson, who plays eccentric family matriarch Birdie Lock- wood, says she accepted the role because of her devotion to another Dob- son Productions series. "General Hospital." She never misses an episode of "GH." "General Hospital" was written for many years by Jerome and Bridget Dobson, who developed the new show and currently write and produce it.
