Kohrt, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Kohrt of McHenry, is a member of the bars of the state of Ohio, the United States Supreme Court and the US Court of Military Appeal. His decorations include the meritorious service medal and the Air Force commendation medal with one oak leaf cluster. KAREN MITCHELL Karen Mitchell, daughter of Robert and Hazel Mitchell has been selected to enter the Navy for engineman training this summer,, under the navy's Delayed Entry Program (DEP). Karen, who graduated from McHenry East High School in June 1984 will begin her Navy career in August 1964 with recruit training in Orlando, Fla. followed by schooling in Great Lakes, 111. iUMBERLY KUROWSKI Kimberly A. Kurowski, daughter of Eugene and Linda Kurowski has been selected to enter the Navy for heavy equipment operator training this summer under the navy's Delayed Entry Program (DEP). Group travel means money saved Planning an excursion to Brookfield Zoo, Ravinia, or the historic Pullman District? Whatever your travel needs, a group of 25 or more can cut its transportation costs in half by signing up for the newly established commuter rail group travel program. The program, approved by the RTA Interim board of directors, allows for a 50 percent fare discount on all group trips. A Rezoning is asked in Ringwood group travel bureau has also been set up at the Northeast Illinois Railroad Corporation to administer the program and make reservations for group trips on the following railroads: NIRC Milwaukee and Rock Island districts, Burlington Northern, Chicago and Nor­ thwestern, and Illinois Central Gulf. The McHenry County Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) formed in 1947 had the goal of providing conservation toward soil and water resources in McHenry County. Since its beginning the district has developed and implemented many programs to help attain that goal. One service the district is involved with is a tree sale and planting program. During the spring of 1984 the local SWCD provided assistance to 275 McHenry County residents in terms of tree orders, windbreak recommendations/ soil suitability, and planting of tree stock.
