The fish boil scheduled for today will conclude this summer's fund raising events for Pioneer Center. Invite all to ice cream social-open house Ice cream and desserts will be served at Pioneer Center's Group Home this Sunday, Aug. 26, from 1 to 3 p.m. The public is invited to relax with a refreshing dish of ice cream and tour the group home in McHenry where 11 residents live. The Ice Cream Social and Open House were planned by the twenty-fifth anniversary committee of the McHenry County Association for the Retarded (Pioneer Center) to inform the public of current progran^ and highlight the center's 25 years of service to people with developmental disabilities. The event is one of a series scheduled throughout this year. Committee members, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Pierce, McHenry; Mr. and Mrs. Chuck Stone, Wood stock; Mrs. Wanda Pears and Mr. Bruce Smyth, both of Crystal Lake, have been planning occasions into fall with Bobbie Wiltse of Pioneer Center.
