He was born Aug. 2, 1904 in Chicago to RQdolph and Lena Loss* A resident of McHenry since March, 1977, Mr. Loss was a construction electrician 30 years and a retired member of Union 134IBEW. Surviving are his wife Idelle (Shay) of McHenry, whom he married June 25, 1949 in Chicago; a stepson Raymond (Sonya) Bracken, Los Osos, Calif.; and a sister Barbara Mahon, Oak Park, 111. - He was preceded in death by his parents and five brothers. Visitation will be held after 3:30 p.m. Thursday in the George R. Justen & Son Funeral home, where services will be conducted by the Rev. Roger Schneider of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, at 10 a.m. Friday. Interment will be in Forest Home Cemetery, Forest Park, 111. * Memorials are requested to the McHenry County Heart Fund. Cecelia Plank Cecelia Plank, 85, 1304 Oef- fling Dr., Whispering Hills Subdivision, died Saturday, Aug. 25, 1984. She was born Aug. 31, 1898 in Mischendorf, Austria. A resident of McHenry Township 19 years, Mrs. Plank was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Johnsburg. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. William (Ruth) Kilbourne, East Lansing, Mich.; two sons, Frank (Frances) Plank, Jr., McHenry and John (Martha) Plank, Downers, Grove, HI.; six grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Frank, Sr., Mar. 9, 1962; and a son Leo, Nov. 1,1972. Visitation was held Monday afternoon and evening in the George R. Justen & Son Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass was offered at 10 a.m. Tuesday by Father John Holdren in St. John's church, with interment in the church cemetery. Memorials are requested to the Johnsburg Rescue Squad and-or Masses. Howard Kopp Howard Kopp, 60, of McHenry, was dead on arrival at Northern Illinois Medical Center. He is survived by his wife Anna. Arrangements are pending at the George R. Justen & Son Funeral Home. Robert D. Weber Robert Dale Weber of McHenry died Monday, Aug. 27, 1984, in Veterans Administration Medical Center, North Chicago. He was 59 years old, born in Barrington, 111. June 13,1925, the son of James and Pearl (Holland) Weber. Mr. Weber lived in McHenry about 19 years, having come from Lake Zurich. He had been a commercial artist for Leo Burnett & Co., Chicago. Surviving are his wife, Mary E. Bousser, whom he married Nov. 8, 1958 in St. Patrick Catholic Church, McHenry; two daughters, Mrs. Michael (Catherine) Schultheiss and Beth Weber; and a son Jay, all of McHenry; his mother Pearl, McHenry; and two brothers, James (June) Weber and Donald (Josephine) Weber, all of Lake Zurich. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday in the Peter M. Justen & Son Funeral Home, with burial in St. Patrick's Countryside Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 9 p.m. Wednesday. The family would like memorial contributions to the St. Patrick's Church Building Fund. Thomas S. Merkel Thomas S. Merkel, 27, 810 N. Center St., McHenry, died Monday morning, Aug. 27,1984, in a one vehicle automobile accident on McCullom Lake Rd. He was born Dec. 23, 1956 in Waukegan to Peter and Patricia (Steele) Merkel. Mr. Merkel attended St. Patrick's Elementary School and was in the first graduating class of Montini School in 1971; attended Marian Central Catholic High School three years; graduated from McHenry Community High School in June, 1975; and at tended McHenry County College. He was a former em ployee of the City of Waukegan, and for the last six years, was a surgical aide for Northern Illinois Medical Center. Surviving are his parents, Joseph and Patricia (Merkel) Ello of McHenry ; two sisters, Lynne and Candy Merkel, Bloomington, Ind.; two brothers, Peter n and Rick, McHenry; maternal grand father, Ralph Steele, Bloomington, Ind.; and paternal grandmother, Gisella Ello, Waukegan. He was preceded, in death by his father Peter Merkel, April 14, 1965; paternal grandfather, Louis Ello; paternal grand parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Mayer; and maternal grand mother, Louise Steele. Hickory, Wonder Lake, died in her residence Friday, Aug. 24, 1984. She was born in Illinois April 19, 1927, to Joseph and Mary Khale. Mrs. Lazalde resided in Wonder Lake 18 years and was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church.
