Elect Sunday School Super. Donna Smith was recently elected superintendent of the Sunday School at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, 404 N. Green St., McHenry. She will Shirley Humann and Karen Ruch. Also, Cindy Wilson, Karen Lubing, Sherry Sitz, Dana Wallace, Glad Weyland, Jane administer the Christian ^Galler, Gail Schmaus, Beth Education program for over 300 Sofie, Caryl Montgomery, Ruth students, ages three through high school. The Sunday School will be held in two sessions this fall, with the expansion of the education and worship schedule in the parish. Starting Sept. 9, three worship services will be held each Sunday, beginning at 8:30, 9:45 and 11 a.m. The two Sunday School sessions will run at the same time as the 8:30 and 9:45 a.m. worship services, with grades seven through the adult classes meeting at 8:30 a.m.; and ages three through sixth grade meeting at 9:45 a.m. The fall Sunday School program will get underway Sept. 9, when Rally Day will be observed. This is a special day of celebration when all students move to a higher grade level in the education program of the church. The adult classes or Sunday will discuss various ethical issues such as abortion, euthanasia, ecology stances, etc,. Assisting Superintendent Smith in the education program will be 52 other staff members These include Wally Johnson Beth Johnson, Martha Fink beiner, Audrey Whitney, Mar Ann Cedergren, Sallj Manktelow, Birdie Bergdahl, Julie Grude, Cheryl Pospichal, Sharon Moy, Carol Chrisman, Roberta Denley, Audrey Eder, Rqth Cepuder, Marcia Maule, Marge Leary, Diane Doessel, Julie Perley, Maggie Johnson, Roper, Brenda Hansen, Jeff Haddick, Chris Bender, Ann Tilling, Bea Gemmell, Mark Hartwick, Bill Betts, Linda Nowicki, Sally Iwert, the Rev. Roger W. Schneider, Ron Kot, Judy Zid, Kathy Marinangel, Kim Rehfeldt, Glenn Evenson, Mary Lou Nichols, Roger Krause, Sharon Price, Marie Snyder, Margaret Lary and Elton Mellum. The Lutheran Church of All Saints (LCA denomination) on State Park Rd., Fox. Lake, announces its new time schedule beginning Sept. 9, as follows: first service, 8 to 9 a.m.; Sunday School, 9:15 to 10:15 a.m. (in­ cludes the Adult Forum); second service, 10:45 to 11:45 a.m. Church Sunday School in­ cludes classes from kin­ dergarten to high school youth. Children of all ages are welcome to participate in these programs. The new pastor since last April has been the Reverend Roger Elliott, who also conducts the Adult Forum discussion group between church services. His youthful attitude and genuine friendliness have en­ deared him to the congregation. Holy Communion is served on the first and third Sundays of the month and O)mmunion is open to all baptized Christian believers. A Long Range Planning Committee is at present working on a future building program to expand the church and Sunday School. The "little church on the hill" is bursting at the seams since its membership has doubled in the past two years. The choir began Fall rehearsals Aug. 29 at 7 p.m. and anyone who likes to sing is welcome to join.
