Church W.L. Bible Church invites all to attend film showing The congregation of Wonder Lake Bible Church, along with Pastor Merle D. Conklin, invite the general public to join them in viewing the highly acclaimed series of films, "Focus on the Family," produced by the well- known psychologist and family counselor, Dr. James C. Dobson. They will be shown Sunday evenings at 6 p.m., beginning Sunday, Sept. 9. The series includes seven films, "The Strong-Willed Child," Sept. 9; "Shaping the Will Without Breaking the Spirit," Sept. 16; "Christian Fathering," Sept. -- 23;( "Preparing for Adolescence: The Origins of Self-Doubt," Sept. 30; "Preparing for Adolescence: Peer Pressure and Sexuality," Oct. 7; "What Wives Wish Their Husbands Knew A6oirt Women; The Lonely Housewife," Oct. 14; "What Wives Wish Their Money, Sex, and Children," Oct. 21. Dr. Dobson is Associate Clinical Professor of Pediatrics, University of Southern California School of Medicine; attending staff, Children's Hospital of Los Angeles; and author of several books such as "Dare to Discipline," "The Strong-Willed Child," and "Hide or Seek." - There is no charge for viewing the films, but a free-will offering will be received. Green St., McHenry, is the place to be Sunday, Sept. 9, at one o'clock, yrhe church picnic grounds will jf be a festive sight with free food and beverages available for the family. Those attending have also been asked to bring tl>eir favorite dish to pass to complete the feast. There'll be games, races and prizes for all the children.
