Lorraine Murphy, chairman of the steering committee in charge of the celebration, said that the entire program was an effort for unity of both sides of the lake. She added that she felt that a start had been made and she hopes that the event will be perpetuated in subsequent years. At the evaluation meeting, held at the residence of Van Sells, the publicity chair man, Lorraine Murphy also said that all of the volunteer assistance made the event possible.-- Ms. Murphy emphasized that the celebration was not for the raising of funds. All of the dubs and organizations who had booths during the affair were raising money for their own uses; nothing went to the steering committee or to any of the volunteer workers. Operating funds were raised by the sale of the program booklet, by donations from subdivision associations, the master property owners association, the Republican party, the Wonder Lake State Bank, and by in dividuals. Funds were also various Wonder businesses.
