OCTOBER 5,1964 Business Truck line opens terminal Roadway Express, Inc., the nation's largest motor freight carrier, has opened a new terminal at 451 W. Sheridan Road in McHenry. William Bereiter is manager of the facility, which provides daily pickup and delivery ser­ vice to the communities of Crystal Lake, Harvard, McHenry, Marengo and Woodstock in Illinois, and Lake Geneva in Wisconsin. Roadway, based in Akron, Ohio, recently introduced a program of expanded services to the "industrial heartland", the Great Lakes states of Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio and Wisconsin. The program calls for teamwork on the part of the shipper, receiver and carrier, to keep materials moving in a coordinated, ef­ ficient manner to the heartland.
