"Theatre...or music." Rather than decide in favor of one, he has con­ tinued to pursue two parallel careers, both with equal success. Stephen's earliest memories in­ volve gathering the neighborhood kids toput on a play or invent an im­ promptu band with plastic guitars and cigar box drums. By high school, Stephen had graduated to full-scale theatrical productions and rock bands. After studying at the Juillard School of Drama, Stephen appeared in numerous Broadway shows and Na­ tional Tours, including "Grease," "A Chorus Line," "The Little Shop of Horrors," and "Pippin." He recently completed filming "Bless Them All," a fittn concerning payoffs made by the Teamsters to Nixon in its effort to get Jimmie Hof- fa out of prison. Muscially, Stephen is active as an arranger, composer, drummer and Uceyboard artist. He can be heard contributing to both drum and keyboard tracks in the original soundtrack of "Flashdance" and he just finished scoring two new televi­ sion pilots. His apartment is filled with state-of-the-art recording and synthesizing equipment, and he has created record tracks right in his own home. T H E Y O U N G A N D T H E RESTLESS -- After Shawn leaves, Paul asks Lauren to watch herself around him. Crystal Lake Road, McHenry. The Defenders recommend that people should take the op­ portunity to clear out those papers, bottles, cans, etc. before the holiday rush. The Lake-In-The-Hills Boy Scout Troop 152, under the Scout mastership of Mike McKay, will co-sponsor the drive. The troop is sponsored by the United Methodist Church in Lake-In- The-Hills. Recyclable items include newspapers with no junk mail or magazines, aluminum scrap of all kinds, "tin" cans washed and flattened, brown bags and cardboard, used motor oil, and glass containers with all metal and plastic removed. There is a buy-back program for 100 percent aluminum cans. Patrons will receive the current market price for the cans. Crushed cans will bring an extra two cents per pound.
