Glen Snyder Glen Snyder, 85, 819 Royal Drive, McHenry, died Friday, Dec. 14,1984, in Northern Illinois Medical Center, McHenry. He was born Sept. 29, 1899, in Chicago, the son of Henry and Greta Snyder. Formerly of Chicago, Mr. Snyder resided in McHenry for eight years; was a supervisor for Illinois Bell Telephone more than 50 years and a member of Telephone Pioneers of America. Surviving are his wife, the former Anna V. Rice, whom he married in February of 1919, in Chicago; a daughter, Mrs. Norman (Elaine) Rudi of Barrington; two grandchildren; and a brother. ^ Two brothers and two sisters preceded him in death. Visitation, services and burial were private for the family. Arrangements were handled by the George R. Justen & Son Funeral Home. Marie H. Kohler Marie H. Kohler, 85, 5214 Dartmoor, McHenry, died Saturday, Dec. 15, 1984, in Northern Illinois Medical Center, McHenry. She was born June 14, 1899, in Chicago, the daughter of Charles and Mathilda (Raschke) Eckert. Formerly of Chicago, Mrs. Kohler resided in McHenry more than a year, with a good friend, Lou Ann Hermann, who survives. She was preceded in death by her husband Lester, in 1966, and a sister. Visitation and services were held Monday, in the George R. Justen & Son Funeral Home. Burial was in Acacia Park Cemetery, Chicago. Memorials are requested to the McHenry Township Fire and Rescue Memorial Fund. Fr. John M. Dording The Rev. John M. Dording, 79, pastor emeritus of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Johnsburg, died Saturday, Dec. 15, 1984, in Freeport Memorial Hospital. He was born May 17, 1905, to West Bend, la., the son of Nicholas and Mary Dording. Father Dording attended St. Francis preparatory school, Milwaukee, Wis., and Con­ ception High School and College in Missouri. His seminary education was at Innsbruck University in Austria, from 1928 to 1932. On March 13, 1932, he was ordained and assigned to St. Joseph Church until his transfer to Our Lady of God Counsel, Aurora, as pastor. He then became chaplain of the Illinois State Training School, St. Charles. He was appointed pastor of St. Patrick Church, Hartland; St. Catherine Church, Genoa; and St. John the Baptist Catholic Church from September of 1963 to July, 1970, when he was named pastor emeritus. Surviving are two nieces, Mrs. Eugene (Camilla) Kocol of San Pedro, Calif, and Mrs. Patricia Windle of Chicago; a nephew James Dording of Danvers, Mass.; and seven grandnieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and a sister. v Visitation began at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. John's church, wh^r'e an all-night vigil was held. Tony an George Bernard Tonyan, 84, died Saturday, Dec. 15, 1984, in Tucson, Ariz. He was born Feb. 9, 1900, in McHenry. The founder of Tonyan Con­ struction Company, Mr. Tonyan retired in 1949, when he moved to Tucson. On Jan. 30, 1937, he married the former Florence Zimmer, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Joan Tonyan and Mrs. John (Jean) Lane; four grandchildren, David, Mike, Christopher and Julie; three brothers, William, Edward and Henry, all of McHenry; and three sisters, Mrs. Bernard (Gertrude) Schmitt of John­ sburg, Mrs. Francis (Rose) Hrejsa of North Riverside, 111. and Angela Tonyan of Washington.
