Pagr * - M.A1N1>KALKH HKW AIJ>, WKPISKM>A> , DECEMBER 19. W4 Life today Terri Mai is married in mom's wedding gown Adding a bit of nostalgia to the sentimental occasion of her wedding day, Oct. 20, the former Terri Lynn Mai wore the same wedding gown her mother had worn for her own wedding 28 years ago. In traditional white, it was styled with long fitted lace sleeves and a lace bodice featuring a chiffon inset and high neck, both highlighted by lace appliques. A lace apron effect was created over the skirt of satin and netting. Her mother's pearl and rhinestone encrusted crown headpiece held a new French embroidered fingertip veil. The bride is the daughter of. Lee and Joanne Mai, 1402 N. Oakwood Court, McHenry. John and Eileen Klapperich, 5220 W. Maple Hill Drive, McHenry, are the parents of the bridegroom, Timothy John Klapperich. . The Rev. Clifton H. Kittelson presided over the 4:30 p.m. nuptials in Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, McHenry, before an altar decorated with baskets of silk, ivory camellias and teal roses. Special music provided by Greg Boyd, soloist and Kathie Bolger, organist, included "Sunrise, Sunset," "Wedding Song," and "Candle on the Water." Attending her sister-in-law as matron of honor was Mrs. Michael (Judy) Mai of McHenry. Bridesmaids were friends of the bride, Buffy Trosky of McHenry and Mrs. MR. AND MRS. TIMOTHY KLAPPERICH Joe (Patty) Treasure of Wonder Lake. They wore old fashioned, teal, hoop skirt dresses accented by ivory lace on the sleeves and scalloped hemline; and carried ivory lace fans adorned with silk teal and ivory roses, matching their halo headpieces. The flower girls were the bride's niece, Brieanna Mai and the grooms' niece, Nicole Klapperich, both of McHenry. They were similarly attired to the bridesmaids and carried small baskets of silk flowers. The groom's father, John P. Klapperich of McHenry, han dled the duties of best man. Groomsmen were the groom's brothers, James of McHenry and Michael of Pittsburgh. The bride's brothers, Michael and Steven Mai of McHenry, served as ushers. The groom wore a. black tuxedo with tails and the other male members of the bridal party were in black with ivory accessories. The mother of the bride chose a floor length periwinkle blue qiana dress with chiffon and lace jacket. A floor length pale lilac qiana, pleated dress with rhinestone studded chiffon capelet was the choice of the groom's mother. Both had wrist corsages of silk flowers to complement their dresses. A reception for 130 friends and relatives was held at Al-Kaya's Restaurant in Island Lake. Out- of-town guests came from Wisconsin, Michigan, Florida, Pennsylvania and California. Wedding Policy The McHenry Haindealer Herald will print weddings in their entirety up to one month after the ceremony However we know many couples do not receive their wedding photos within one month alter the ceremony. The bride may bring in a completed wedding write-up. without the photo. It will be dated and held until a photo becomes available In this way. the newlyweds do not have to depend on a photographer to determine the length of their wedding write up that is published in the newspaper. From one to two months after the occasion, aU gown descriptions and recep tions assistants' names wiH be omitted. .After two months, weddings will be shortened to names, date, site attendants and officiating person at the ceremony, parents' names, couple's education and where they will reside. This information wHI be printed without photo. Once submitted within these deadlines, we take responsibility for publication. The most efficient means of handling the information is to pick up a wedding form at the McHenry Plaindealer Herald office Flowers and gown descriptions can then be inserted as preparations are completed Forms should be typed or printed legibly. Couples may also write their own ac counts using the Information we seek, subject to editing for style. The McHenry Plaindealer Herald will only abcqpt responsibility for black and white photos. However we wHI accept color phoios which are sharply focused and where the couple stand out from the background. We encourage couples to pick up their photos as soon as they are published in the newspaper, or provide a stamped, self-addressed envelope for their return. • Nurses enjoy dinner and speaker At the annual dinner meeting Nov. 14, of the McHenry County Nurses Association, 68 members heard Dr. Davis Horowitz of Highland Park, 111. speak on "The Newest Trends in Insulin.
