Wilmot Rd., McHenry A special candlelight service will be presented Christmas Eve at 11 p.m., in celebration of Christ's birth. Appropriate music will be provided by Mr. and Mrs. Charles Guth and Mrs. Otto JKeyes. The church organist, Mrs. Robert Cluff, will furnish the accompaniment and other music for the evening. Otto Keyes will offer a dramatic reading of "The Gift of the Magi." Congregation singing will include many familiar Christmas carols. The Rev. Marlowe Shoop and wife Donna will read the Christmas story prior to the congregation receiving Holy Communion. The service will conclude with the lighting of each worshiper's candle, starting with the reverend's candle, lit from the Christ candle on the Advent wreath. In the early Christmas Eve service at 7:30 p.m., Advent meditations on the angels who heralded the first Christmas will conclude with "Heralds of Peace." The Candlelight service at 11:30 p.m. De&. 24, will proclaim "The Peace of Christmas.'* On the day of Jesus' birth at 9 a.m., the congregation will hear of God's gift, "The Peace of Life." Special services at the turn of the year will stress priorities of fellowship with God at every step of life's journey.
