The Plaindealer-Herald will keep Seniors informed as to the re-opening dates. MAILBOX DAMAGE The large new mailbox which was paid for by tax money from people in the McHenry Nunda library District, was bashed in last week during our first measurable snow. The help of anyone having tools necessary to extend the mail box interior to its original shape would be appreciated by the staff and rural route mail- lady. The cold on Jan. 2 made it difficult for Sam Sances to shovel snow away from the mailbox. Good neighbor Bob Dawdy lent his muscle and completed the snow removal in five minutes. . _" Myldred Rowe in Lakemoor couldn't open the doors to her home on New Years Day, due to blowing snow. Neighbor Margaret Karas armed with a snow shovel, trudged through virgin snow to remove the white stuff blocking Myldred's doorway to the outside world. "It was like walking where no other being had been", as there were no tracks or prints in the deep snow. What a way to start the New Year-all fresh unH undisturbed, with the slate wiped clean, waiting only for the marks of what would come in this year of 1985.
