The large group of 17 snowmebiters bundled up to take a ride for their planned fish fry, led by Jim NykSajfro. After dinner, they took a long Tide to Wonder Lake and then toc^tojhe meeting place. The group is having a club picnic in toe woods at Elliott's form at 1 p.m. Events planned include Toe skating, snowmobile courses, sledding and lots of food, which will be furnished by the club. They also have a trail con­ dition hot Une phone number to call 385-0258. Anyone can call to get a recording on how the trails are or the safety of the routes. Maps of the trails are furnished by the club to the members. The next month's meetings will be held at 8 p.m. at KristofTS, Feb. 8 and Feb. 22. They are scheduled the second and the fourth Friday of every month: BUSY THREE 4-H At the Feb. 14 meeting of the Busy Three 4-H Club, Tina Malo gave a talk on mating clothes for herself and her dofis. Rachel Kalsmalski made a presentation on her collection of glass and ceramic knick- knacks. Becky Croswell had a demonstration on "How to get honey out of the hives by smoking the bees." She added that smoking the bees makes them work harder. She brought her bee atire for the demon­ stration and also gave a talk on stitchery which She learned through the 4-H chib. Refreshments and games were conducted by Lori Wolfe. Welcome back to Ron Slaughter who moved away and then returned and rejoined the dub. On FA. 23, the Busy Three 4-H a short trip to the for a demon- 4-H PROJECT Ten girls from the Busy Three 4-H club participated in a stit­ chery course from Mrs. Tomlinson to learn about stit­ chery for the Fair. Classes were held every Saturday, from the beginning of last Novemb#. The only requirement she asked waS that each girl finish her protect. WEEKEND TRIP A trip was recently enjoyed in Delavan Wis. by Lynn Bauer and Shirley Kennebeck. MORE DOGS A great dane with flea collar plus a blue bandanna, was noticed by Judy Bird of Steuben Road Jan. 28. Judy could not ask Dane in, as her dog is not too noted for sharing, and her yard is not fenced in. DOUGHNUT REVIEW Harold Nixon stopped in at the McHenry Nunda library Jan. 29, with three doughnuts made using one of the recipes turned over to him, it was on the con­ dition that any made would be shared by the staff of the library.
