Friday, Feb. 1, IMS -- F*t« 17 McHenry's Wade Cepulis was in full stride as he raced to the finish of the annual McHenry River Run, on Riverside Drive. Cepulis, who was a third place finisher in 1963> bettered his previous performance to cruise to a victory with a time of 3S:Qt over the seven mile course. McHenry spring athletes who were honored included Most Valuable Players: Greg Hall, water polo; Delia Saunders, girls track; Brian Wright, boys track; Sarah Prust, girls softball; and Gary Strom, men's tennis. The Most Improved players awards went to: Monique Ben- tancourt, girls softball; Joe Raycraft, water polo; and Scott Smith, men's tennis. Johnsburg spring athletes honored included Most Valuable Players: Brian Suidak, boys track; Missy Christy, girls track; Paul Hendrixson, men's tennis; Kathy Butler, girls softball; and Jim Bentz, baseball. The Fox Valley coaches picked McHenry Warriors' Ross Vehring and Craig Hill to be listed as all* conference performers. Prom the girls softball team, lady Warriors' Cindy Gaines, Greta Larsen, Monique Bentancourt, and Sarah Prust. The Northwest Suburban Con­ ference coaches selected Skyhawks Jeff Jayko, Jim Bents, and Joe Majercik as all- conference basebaU athletes.
