There have even been some slight changes. Both shows are seen a half hour earlier each Saturday. The bowlers go on at 3 p.m. and Wide World fol lows at 4:30 p.m. The bowling tour has even added a little spice to the professionals' pot. More money. If they keep it up they'll be getting as much money as TV sportscasters. Next Saturday, for instance, the BP A A U.S. Open from Venice. Fla.. will have $200,000 in prize money, while next month the Toledo Trust PBA National Championship from Toledo will offer $235,000 and a record first prize of $45,000. The Firestone Tournament of Champions is the tour's traditional climax when it puts $200,000 up for grabs on April 20 If that isn't enough, the True Value chain now offers $100,000 for a 300 game bowled during any of the nationally televised finals. When the True Val ue Open is held on Feb. 23 in Peoria. Id., the com pany will raise the ante to $200,000 for a perfect game.** It's not that easy however. Only three bowlers have rolled perfect games during the show's 23-year history: Jim Stefanich at the Midas Open in Alameda. CaW.. in 1974; Johnny Guenther at the San Juan Open in 1969. end Jack Biondolillo at the Firestone Tournament in 1967. It's been 10 years since the last one, although Art Trask of Fresno. Calif., came as close as possible, rolling a 299 game at the Fair Lanes Open in Balti more in 1982. •unday 2/10/85 5:00 AM SIlOW © Soo Hunt ICI Strotch with PritcMlo © MOVIE: 'WorOamos' (CO © MOVIE: Treasure of tho AKakatie T BflisBAflkAMS ̂M^Mwa B • " RITVrwVnt © MOVIE: *Saesmy's Super T-SMrf When his lucky T-thirt is accidentally treated with chemi cals, it gives Sammy incredible super powers.
