A key part of the program is learning what can happen as a result of getting involved and feeling the responsibility of leadership. All Lake County candidates for seats on the governing board of the newly-created (Sain of Lakes-Fox River Waterway Management Agency have been invited to speak at a "town meeting" to be held at the Wauconda Township Hall on Tuesday, Feb. 19. The public is invited, especially those living within the jurisdiction of the new Water way Management Agency, and those boaters and riverfronters and lakefronters with riverway problems. All 16 Lake County candidates for positions of chairman and directors are expected to attend the meeting, sponsored by the Fox Riverfront Federation. Riverfront Federation is an alliance of about 90 residential, com mercial and political sub divisions lying along both banks of the Fox River between the McHenry and Algonquin dams. There are two Lake County and two McHenry County candidates for the seat of chairman of the agency, for whom voters of both Lake and McHenry Counties will vote to elect one.
