The wrestling sessions will be held at the McHenry East Campus High School from 6 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. Coaches Jerry Rankin and Don March will teach the basic fundamentals of wrestling with the emphasis on fun and safety. This five-week wrestling program will be scheduled as follows: Session 1: Kindergarten through second grade, Wednesdays, starting April 10, the fee is $7. Session 2: Third through fifth grades, Tuesdays and Thur­ sdays, beginning April 9, $14 fee. Final registration dates for Lakeland Park baseball The Lakeland Park Little League will hold its final registration for the 1985 season on Saturday, March 16, at the Lakeland Park Community House, 1717 N. Sunset, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Boys ages 8-12, whose birthdays fall before Aug. 15, are eligible. The fee is $14 per child. Each additional player in a family will be charged $13. j Men's 12" plans begin The Men's 12" Softball League will hold its registration for the summer season, beginning Monday, March 18, for teams com­ prised of 80 percent City of McHenry residents. The teams that meet the minimum of 60 percent of their players residing withing the McHenry School District boundaries can sign up beginning on Monday, March 25. Registration will open at 8 a.m. at the McHenry Park Depart­ ment Office, located in City Hall. All registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. All fees and a completed roster must be turned in at the time of registration. The league fee will be $250 for the 1985 season. A tax equilization fee (non-resident) of $75 per team will be added to any league fees. This fee will be assessed to all teams that do not meet the minimum of 80 percent City of McHenry residents on their roster. JHS awards night set JOHNSBURG - All athletes, parents and friends are invited to attend the winter awards night at Johnsburg High School, sponsored by the Johnsburg High School Athletic Booster Club. The awards program will start at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 20 in the high school auditorium. Each sport will be honored in the auditorium portion of the awards night which will be followed by a social hour in the school cafetonum. Each family is asked to bring a dessert to share. The Booster Club will provide the beverage. The athletic department requests that you keep in mind the awards night will be in two parts - the presentation of awards followed by a social hour. Special youth baseball seminar planned for April OAK BROOK - A special baseball instructional clinic designed specifically for the Youth League coach will take place Friday, April 12, at the Hyatt House in Oak Brook Center beginning at 6 p.m. This unique presentation has been created especially for the Chicagoland Area Youth League Baseball Coaches, and all coaches, regardless of experience, are encouraged to par­ ticipate. Some of baseball's finest athletes and instructors will be on hand to discuss and demonstrate the fundamentals of the game. Among these are Steve Rogers, pitcher for the Montreal Expos, and Cubs' reliever George Frazier. The clinic is presented Jay Mickey Owen Baseball School, "America's Authority on Y6uth Baseball," with over 26 years of baseball instructional experience. The school's director, Ken Rizzo, and head of instruction, Dick Birmingham, will also be part of the clinic. Youth League coaches will benefit greatly from this per­ sonalized program, which allows the exchanging of questions and ideas. The atmosphere allows for the gleaning of methods you'll be able to implement in practice sessions and games. The clinic fees are $32 if paid by March 22, $42 if paid by April 1, and $47 at the door. MCC counselor and triathlete Cathy Bolger will talk about where to begin and will provide useful training tips. The fee for the seminar is $2. Because of its outstanding season in the Fox Valley Con­ ference last fall, the White Lightning's three teams have moved up to the Northern Illinois Soccer League, where the competition should be a mite tougher. Tne White Lightning ex­ panded to include three age levels: under 10, under 12 and under 14. All three teams will be playing their NISL games on Sunday afternoons. every Friday , all In addition, evening beginning May 3, three teams will also be playing in the President's Cup Tour­ nament.
