In a time of budgets dictating what will be kept or cut in public schools, one alternative is the use of volunteer teachers in schemes like the "Enrichment Program" at Edgebrook School. More than 220 students took part in the program which spanned four weeks, from Feb. 18 to March 11, after regular school hours. The students met each Monday afternoon for 45 minutes in classes of their choosing. The Enrichment program was organized by the Edgebrook Parent-Teachers Organization (PTO) and operates primarily through the efforts of volunteer teachers.
