The heavenly strains of two elegant harps will fill the auditorium of the Woodstock Opera House Sunday, March 31, at 2:30p.m. The Harp Duo is the second program in the Wood stock Fine Arts Association Spring Music Series, "Music for a Sunday Afternoon." Bringing the music alive are two musicians whose backgrounds compliment one another as do the grace and beauty of their instruments. Mary Jo Green, graduate of Ward-Bfelmont College in Nash ville, Tenn., studied privately with Carlos Salzedo in New York City and at the summer Harp Colony in Camden, Maine. She toured three seasons with the Angelaire Harp Quintet for Community Concerts and now plays with the Lyric Opera Orchestra, the Grant Park Orchestra and has just com pleted playing for the engagement of "42nd Street" at the Shubert Theatre in Chicago. She performs numerous chamber and choral concerts, as well as children's educational programs throughout the area. Shirley Luckey received early training in harp, piano and cello, but chose harp as her first love while studying at Interlaken and Michigan State University. At age 12 she performed under the direction of Carlos Salzedo and appeared frequently throughout the state of Michigan. Her recent performances have been in the Chicago area where she is a member of the Lake Forest Symphony Association and a flute and harp chamber group. As the second half of the Hup Duo she has presented frequent in-school programs. Remaining programs in the "Music for a Sunday Afternoon" series are the Harp Duo and the Burgundian Consort.
