It means feeling ga p h y s i c a l l y , m e n t a l l y , emotionally and spiritually. McHenry County College en courages wellness year around through a variety of seminars and courses. This spring, three days have been set aside to celebrate wellness. Day One: Tuesday, April 16, is Laughter, Fun and Play Day. Day Two: Wednesday, April 24, will be devoted to promoting Nutrition and Physical Fitness. Day Three: Thursday, May 2, is Environmental Awareness Day. "What To Do When You Start At 9 Sharp And End At 5 Dull" kicks off the 1985 Wellness Celebration at MCC on April 16. Come to MCC at 9:30 a.m. and find out about the liberating effects of humor and play. Psychotherapist Suzanne Flings Raftery will explain how humor can be a powerful way to move from a "nuts to you" feeling to a "knots to undo" orientation and how laughter is one of the best cures for what ails us, be physiological or psychological. The activity will be held in the Lounge. At noon, experience the Secona Annual Off-The-Wall, Just For Fun, Faculty-Staff Variety Show in the College Lounge. MCC employees with very little as well as those with a great deal of talent will en tertain. There is no charge for ad mission to either of the events held during the day. The public is encouraged to attend. At 7:30 p.m. on April 16, the United Mime Workers will perform "Shadows Beyond The Benefit Of A Doubt" in the MCC Multi-Purpose Room. The show offers a humorous and provocative look at typical American households where not so typical events occur. There is a charge for ad mission to this event. General admission is $2; students with identification and senior citizens will be admitted for $1. Tickets will be sold at the door.
