Marian students take on project to aid the hungry Marian Central Catholic High School service organization, "Project Hope," recently sent $331.50 to OXFAM AMERICA, a charitable group which is non- sectarian, for those in hunger throughout the world. The money was collected by Marian students as a result of the fast they held at the school April 3. Money was contributed from the students who chose to reduce their intake of food on that day and give the money they would have spent on food to OXFAM for the hungry. "Now let us begin. Now let us rededicate ourselves to the long and bit ter- but beautiful-struggle for a new world....our brothers and sisters wait eagerly for our response," said Martin Luther King, Jr., in 1967. This was the motto followed by the students in their project to help others during the Lenten season. "Project Hope" is sponsored by David Antonacci, teacher at Marian, who helped students to organize for the fast. Antonacci and the Marian staff cooperated with the students to help 15 million people who suffer from hunger throughout the world," as Antonacci commented on the needs of others. ahh.
