Officers Doyle Kearns and Thomas Jenkins were called to the Leonard t\ Kleba residence at 5001 Abbington in McHenry for a domestic disturbance on April 28. Crystal Lake Road. The church group is working to raise money for its building fund. Earl Van De Wege, steward­ ship and fund raising chairman, will be on hand with his helpers to see that the drive is handled efficiently. To help his group and the McHenry County Defenders, participants may bring any of the following: newspaper with no magazintes or junk mail included, glass con­ tainers with all metal and plastic removed, aluminum scrap of all kinds, used motor oil, brown paper bags and cardboard in managable bun­ dles, "tin" cans rinsed and flattened. The name was picked up by Greg MacAleese, a policeman in Albuquerque, along with a group of citizens led up with high crime statistics. When they formed an organization of concerned citizens ̂ n 1976 they named it Crimestoppers. The organization has spread nationwide and now has 600 chapters. For ticket information call the Opera House at (815 ) 338-5300. The Lake Region YMCA has scheduled a wide variety of physical fitness programs for spring beginning this week. The classes run for eight weeks with each class 45 minutes in length. Morning classes begin at 5:45 a.m. and rug to noon. Babysitting is available from 9 a.m. to noon Monday through Friday. Evening classes begin at 5 p.m. and run through 8 p.m. "The YMCA trained, certified instructors concentrate on development of flexibility, strength, and cardiovascular fitness," said Dough Neush- wander, associate director. Specialty classes include Aquanatics (excercise in water), Fit 'n Firm (exercise concentrating on firming up body), weight management one program (which includes houTilecttHre and 45 minutes of,,,,, exercise), Freedom from Smoking (sponsored by American Lung Association a seven week program). Yoga (develops body awareness), Nice and Easy (which gets you started easily, but effectively). The cost of eight week classes can be as low as $9 for YMCA members, and $28 for non YMCA members.
