Swartzloff, superintendent of McHenry High School District 156 received notice that the school's North Central Association ac creditation has been extended through the 1984-85 school year following the review and ap proval of its Annual Report at the Association's Annual renewed annually. Marian hosts spelling bee Marian Central Catholic High School will host the Northwest Suburban Conference spelling tournament on May 15. Contestants will include students from Grant, Gray slake, Johnsburg, Lake Zurich, Marengo, Round Lake, Wauconda and Marian Central high schools. Eight local eighth grade students were recognized Monday evening by the Kiwanis Club of the Wonder Lake area. The club held its 36th annual merit award dinner at the Ringwood United Methodist Church.
