Kinsala to Ripon . McHenry High School's Cindy Kinsala has accepted an offer to play volleyball and softball for Ripon College in Ripon, Wis. Kinsala, who will graduate in June, will attend Ripon and major in communications, with a newspaper or radio-TV em­ phasis. Kinsala starred for the Warriors' volleyball team for four years, and is currently a starting outfielder and top hitter for the McHenry softball team. Kinsala chose Ripon over St. Norbert's College in DePere, Wis., and DePaul University in Chicago. Ripon's softball team plays in two conferences, one a slow- pitch circuit, the other a fast- pitch league. Ripon is a four- year, co-educational institution located in central Wisconsin. Cindy is the daughter of Mr. an{d Mrs. Don Kinsala of McHenry. McHenry Men's 12-inch Softball McHenry Junior High's wrestl­ ing team, which recently finished an amazing undefeated season, and sent several wrestlers to the state meet, was honored last week by the school. Receiving awards, shown in the top photo at rigty, were: Phil March, who finished third in the state in his weight class: Mark Dowell, fifth at state, and Mike Calarco, also a fifth-place finisher. Jack's could muster just eight runs in two games, but played solid enough defense to win two anyway, edging Brake Parts 2-1, and shutting down Gambler East 6-1. Lakeside Inn-River Shannon pulled off a minor upset in another game, tipping Fox Hole Tap 15-12, while Greg's Never Inn dealt Brake Parts an 11-3 defeat. A five-run fourth inning, highlighted by an RBI double by Dwayne Oeffling plus a two-run two- bagger by Rick Neiss helped Greg's. John Babcock's two-run single in the bottom of the fourth cut the gap to 7-2, but Greg's continued its 19-hit assault, scoring two in the'sixth, and another pair in the seventh, to win easily. Tony Sroka led the winners with a 4-for-4 outing. Neiss. Oeffling and Paul Sroka picked up three hits each. Mark Jadzak and Gary Guetzloff chipped in tow singles each.
